7 losses outside of Quad 1 games, including 1 against Lafayette (at home).

They have an abysmal out-of-conference schedule. (The kind that got VT left out of tournaments in the past.)

I know the NCAA uses the quads, but if it were not for the Quad 1 wins and the winning conference record, Rutgers would not be under serious consideration. Those are big plusses, but the rest of the record is mediocre.
